Agreement to terms
- By accessing or using AcademiQ, you agree to these Terms of Service.
- If you use the Services on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.
- Replace placeholder text with counsel-approved terms before production.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of AcademiQ websites, applications, and services. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
Changes
We may modify these Terms or the Services. We will provide notice of material changes as described in your order or account settings. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance.
Accounts and access
- You are responsible for credentials and activity under your account.
- Tenant administrators control invitations, roles, and certain data within their workspace.
- You must provide accurate registration information.
Eligibility
You must be able to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction. Additional requirements may apply for institutional customers.
Security
- Keep passwords and API keys confidential.
- Notify us promptly of unauthorized access.
- We may suspend access to address security or legal risk.
Acceptable use
- Use the Services only for lawful educational and administrative purposes.
- Do not attempt to disrupt, scrape, or reverse engineer the Services except as permitted by law.
- Do not upload unlawful content or content that infringes others' rights.
Prohibited conduct
- Harassment, discrimination, or endangerment of minors.
- Distributing malware or conducting unauthorized penetration testing.
- Circumventing usage limits, billing, or access controls.
Subscriptions, trials, and billing
- Fees, renewal terms, and taxes are described in your plan or order.
- Payment processing may be provided by partners such as MyFatoorah where enabled.
- Downgrades or cancellations take effect as stated in your subscription settings or order.
Trials and changes
Trial eligibility and duration may vary by promotion or plan. We may change features or pricing with reasonable notice; material adverse changes to prepaid terms may be addressed as set forth in your agreement.
Intellectual property and AI outputs
- AcademiQ retains rights in the platform, branding, and documentation.
- You retain rights in content you upload, subject to the license needed to operate the Services.
- AI-generated outputs may require human review; we do not guarantee error-free results.
License to us
You grant AcademiQ a non-exclusive license to host, process, and display your content solely to provide and improve the Services for you and your tenant, consistent with your settings and applicable law.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
- The Services are provided "as is" to the extent permitted by law.
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages except where prohibited by law.
- Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases our liability is limited to the maximum permitted.
Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you will defend and indemnify AcademiQ against claims arising from your misuse of the Services or violation of these Terms, subject to any caps or carve-outs in your enterprise agreement.
